Airline problems

I HATE the airlines they are so hard to get along with and they don't even care. I tried to buy a ticket for brittney to go home while I'm in the field for 7 days. I went online to buy the ticket about 6 weeks before the flight date. and they were running about $500 round trip. I had a travel voucher from the Crapy flight I bought for my dad and that would make it $350, a great price. So when i called they told me she couldn't use it because the voucher was for only for David Brooke. I was so mad! They told me that I would be able to use it any time, any where, for anyone. They lied! I brought this up to one of there Customer service representatives  and Quote, "I don't know what you mean, that person would have never said anything like that, the voucher is non-transferable. AAAAHHHhhhh!!! So angry! I just wanted to drop kick them in the head. I spoke with somebody new who would hopefully find me a Cheaper ticket and I did, $415! great now were good to go. I placed the ticket on hold to make sure that it was good with Brittney. so 2 days later i called back to buy the ticket. now they told me that I would be able to hold it for like 10 days. but I was wrong for believing them. Nope they told me that I was wrong for miss understanding. So then the price fro the same flight was now $598. That same hour I went online and paid $287 for brittney to fly out to AZ and back. We got lucky and maybe just maybe our flight wont be canceled or something like that. but the lesson is patience and rechecking your alternatives before you just ahead.

We haven't even seen him get on his hands and knees yet but he found out how to move with the most awkward movements. look at the video.... NNNOOOOOoooo!! The video wont load so I'll post it later when it's working.

I had a happy mother's day, here's proof!

My Mother's Day was wonderful! I got to spend it with Justin and Tommy, and I couldn't ask for anything more. I woke up and Tommy gave me a present (as you can see in the picture) and Justin gave me a microwave ( I wanted one so bad!) and also a willow tree of a man and woman holding a baby. I loved it. Justin was really sweet and did all the chores today and even blow dryed my hair for me! =) It was also nice talking with my mom and my mom in law (both are wonderful moms).

Just Another Crappy Day

Today is Just another day at Redstone Arsenal. I'm beginning to think that nothing is going to change around here. I was phase four, meaning I only have a few more "privileges" then I did when I was in Basic Training. Now that brittney is here in Alabama and I'm still phase five I was hoping that I might be able to spend more time with her. Since I've been here I have seen a number of soldier come, screw up, do what they want, and leave. I have been here for 7 months and now I have been waiting permission to move in with Brittney now for 6 weeks. I'm tired of it. I want to be with my family every night but I have to sleep in the barracks with most of the other soldiers. I'm being treated like I'm one of the "New" privates. I'm tired of it. I thought the Army was about helping each other out, but it can't even take care of its own. I thought that my family and I would be taken care of because of the hardships we have faces and, we are going to face, but no they continually tell us ask me tomorrow when I might be in a better mood. so once again to day is just like any other. I get 4 hours with Brittney and Thomas and 5 hours of sleep, room inspection and school. It's just another day at Redstone Arsenal.

Wisdom Teeth Video

So yesterday I got my wisdom teeth removed. After they numbed my mouth they had Justin come in to talk with me because I was really nervous. Well since I could barely talk he decided to video it. It felt so weird! My mouth felt swollen but it wasn't, so I'm covering my mouth and I'm really embarrassed!! Of course Justin thought it was hilarious! I'm doing okay today, the pain medicine they gave me is really strong so I'm not feeling much, it just makes me tired and dizzy so I'm dealing with that. Justin will be here this afternoon to help me with Tommy, but no complaints here! I'm not going to take it tomorrow, I want to be able to drive and not be so sleepy all day. By then it shouldn't be so painful.

Got caught being late... not good

This past tuesday I was expected to move into Brittney's apartment. That was until my squad leader found out that i was FTR to Sunday's recall formation... and bed-check the same day. Now the recall formation was not my fault seeing that I am new to Alabama and I am not familiar with Traffic laws. They would not net me in the front gate because my tags were expired and the registration could not be proven in official paperwork, but they were however able to check the registration and found it current. So instead of letting me go they gave me a ticket and held me 15 minutes longer and made me 15 minutes late.
Now latter that day I was also late for bed check and well that was all my fault because I fell asleep and didn't make it back to the barracks in time. So as punishment for the FTR's I was to lose all my privileges for 2 weeks and I would not be able to go off post and spend time with my family. I later got 2 counseling statements that instructed me on my corrective training, to my surprise all I was to do was to write a 5 page essay on the importance of being on time. Now some of you probably think that it's not that bad but how many of you have really thought about how much 5 pages is and thats only so much you can say on the subject. This was also going to be read by my squad leader, who is an english fanatic. he really gets joy from making people suffer. Brittney and I spent 1 hour writing the essay then later that night I had to rewrite it in my own handwriting and that took me like 2 1/2 hours. But I got it done and he was very pleased with it. now tomorrow Brittney and I might be living together finally. I will also be graduating on July 10th. but my instructor has put us 17 days behind schedule. now I have to stay an extra hour after school to get caught up. It really sucks but thats the way things are. I hope that this week will be better and that there isn't any trouble getting off post to be with the family.

Germany!

Justin and I just recently found out that we are being sent to Germany as soon as Justin graduates from AIT training in July! We will arrive in Stuttgart Germany August 2nd! We are really excited and thankful that he was sent to a place where he can bring his family. We were hoping that this is where they would send him. So we've been looking up pictures and information on the city and have found a lot of things we're looking forward to seeing, lots of festivals! Summer festival, Christmas festival, we hope to go to all of them. It is a beautiful place and we're nervous and excited about living in another country. We definitely didn't ever think that we would be living in Germany! I don't think it will become a reality until we get there. He will be stationed there for about 2-3 years.

Tommy is doing well, he is all over the place! I can't seem to keep up with him! He's pulling my hair and getting into everything...all that fun stuff toddlers do! He looks more and more like Justin everyday, it is so cute. We are hoping for a girl next time, but won't be trying for another for awhile. Right now we are just enjoying Tommy.
We will be coming to visit the family before we go to Germany, we're not sure how much time we'll have but it won't be more than a couple days. But we will visit as often as we can, we miss everyone so much.
